Short answer: EzRemove AI (ezremove.ai) is a free, no-sign-up background remover that leads with speed: its home page calls itself "100% automatic, free, and done in just 5 seconds" and claims 50 million images processed. EzCreate (ezcreate.org) is the browser photo editor we build here; it removes or replaces a background as one of several AI edit workflows, and generation runs on purchased credits. For a single cutout you want in ten seconds with no account, EzRemove AI is the closer match. For a background swap that has to match the light in a new scene, with a named credit cost shown before the job starts, EzCreate is the one built for that. The rest of this page compares them point by point.

We are the EzCreate team, so read this as a comparison written by one of the candidates. Every statement about EzRemove AI comes from ezremove.ai, checked on 2026-10-22, and the sources are listed at the end. Where their pages did not state something, such as a price or a usage cap, we say "not stated" instead of guessing.

What EzRemove AI is

EzRemove AI is an online background remover. Its home page title is "Free Background Remover - Remove Bg from Image Online", and the hero promises to "instantly remove image backgrounds" with no manual work. The page claims "50 million images processed" and, in the same scroll, both "done in just 5 seconds" and "instant background remover in under 3 seconds". Two different speed numbers on one page is worth noticing: treat speed as a marketing claim and time it on your own file.

The tool accepts JPG, PNG and HEIC uploads. It offers several modes rather than one button: General, Logo, Text, Anime, and two custom models labelled V1 and V2, described as "Most General & Fast" and "High Precision & Detail". There is a batch background remover for clearing a set of images at once, and a separate GIF remover.

EzRemove AI is not only a background remover. The same site lists an AI Video Generator, an AI Photo Editor, an AI Photo Studio, Lip Sync AI, an AI Product Image Generator, an AI Image Upscaler and an AI Room Design tool. After a cutout you can keep the transparency, switch to a solid white or brand colour, or use an AI Background Generator to place the subject in a new scene by describing it, for example "wood desk background".

The home page does not state a price, a credit allowance or a usage cap, and it does not ask for an account. A pricing page exists at ezremove.ai/pricing, but when we loaded it on 2026-10-22 the price values were rendered by script and did not appear in the page source, so we cannot quote a number here.

What EzCreate is

EzCreate is a browser AI photo editor and image generator. You upload a photo and describe the change in words, or write a prompt to create a new image. The workspace has two modes, image to image and text to image, and background removal is one workflow inside it rather than the only thing the site does.

The pricing page states the current numbers directly. Uploading and previewing in the editor is free; generation requires purchased credits or an existing account balance. Starter is $4.90 for 140 credits, Try is $9.99 for 300 credits and Pro is $149.99 for 2,000 credits, all one-time packs. The page lists 5 credits for a 1K image generation and 10 credits for a 2K image edit, so the cost of a job is known before you start it. Plans are marked no watermark.

That difference matters for the background job specifically. On EzRemove AI the cutout is the product, so the whole interface is tuned for one upload and one download. On EzCreate the cutout is step one of an edit, which is more useful when the background has to be reconstructed rather than erased.

Where EzRemove AI is the better choice

If the job is "take the background off this product photo and give me a PNG", EzRemove AI is the more direct tool. The mode list is the part worth copying: a Logo mode, a Text mode and an Anime mode exist because those three subjects break a general-purpose cutout in predictable ways, and choosing the mode up front is faster than writing a sentence about it.

The batch remover also has no equivalent here. If you have forty listing photos, doing them in one pass is the whole job, and EzCreate's per-image, per-credit workflow is the wrong shape for that.

Where EzCreate is the better choice

EzCreate is the better fit when the background is not being removed but replaced with something that has to look photographed. A cutout pasted onto a new scene keeps the light, shadows and colour temperature of the original file, which is exactly what makes a composited product shot look fake. An instruction-led edit can rebuild the scene around the subject instead.

The second difference is cost visibility. EzCreate states a credit price per job size and a one-time pack price, so you can compute what a run of edits costs before you buy. With EzRemove AI we could not read a price from the page source, so the only way to know is to open the page in a browser and read the rendered plan cards.

The third is accountability. EzCreate's account page lists credits, orders and entitlements separately, so a purchase can be traced after the fact.

How to check both on your own photo

Use the same file on both sites and compare the same three things, in this order.

  1. The edge. Zoom to 400% on hair, a thin strap, or a glass rim. Sharp edges are easy; the failure is a halo or a chewed outline.
  2. The interior. Check whether the subject kept fine texture, such as knit fabric or text on a label, or whether it was smoothed.
  3. The round trip. Download the PNG and open it on a dark background. A cutout that looks clean on white often has a grey fringe that only shows up on black.

Do this before you buy credits or trust a speed claim. Both sites describe themselves well; the differences show up on the file, not in the copy.

Is EzRemove AI really free?

The EzRemove AI home page describes the background remover as free, states that it is automatic and takes about five seconds, and shows no account step before upload. It does not publish a price, a credit allowance or a numeric usage cap in the page source, so treat free as a claim from the site and check the rendered pricing page before relying on it for volume work.

Does EzRemove AI add a watermark?

The EzRemove AI home page does not mention a watermark in either direction, so we cannot say whether the free download carries one. EzCreate does not add its own watermark to results. Test the actual download on both rather than relying on marketing copy.

Can I use EzRemove AI without signing up?

The home page has no sign-up step and no account language, which suggests the cutout runs without one. We did not complete an upload during this check, so we report what the page states rather than what the flow does end to end. EzCreate does require a signed-in account to generate, because generation spends credits.

Which tool is better for a transparent PNG?

For a single cutout of a product, a person or a logo, the dedicated modes on EzRemove AI are the faster route. For a transparent PNG that then goes into a new scene with matching light, the prompt-led edit on EzCreate is the better fit. If you only need the alpha channel, use the dedicated remover; do not pay credits for a job a one-click tool already does.

Is EzRemove AI the same company as EzCreate?

No. EzRemove AI runs at ezremove.ai and EzCreate runs at ezcreate.org. They are separate products with similar name patterns, and EzRemove AI bundles background removal with video, upscaling and room design tools while EzCreate is a photo editor and image generator.
