Design artwork for a known blank
Start with the printable area supplied by the blank manufacturer. A shirt panel, cushion face and coaster need different proportions. The preset creates an illustration brief rather than a photograph of a finished product. Choose a clear subject and a small palette, then use the existing image editor for text-to-image or reference-image generation. The local preparation panel also accepts artwork you already own, so you do not need an AI generation for every export.
Calculate the pixel canvas
At a planned 300 pixels per inch, an 8 × 10 inch area needs 2400 × 3000 pixels. The width and height controls determine those actual output pixels. The download also contains a real 300 PPI field, but that field does not create detail missing from a small source. The image fits inside the canvas without stretching. Inspect the source at its intended size, especially narrow outlines, small lettering already present in the artwork and smooth colour gradients.
Check the background before printing
A PNG can contain an opaque white rectangle. The transparent-pixel percentage makes that visible before export. Enable light-background removal only when your source has an even light outer background. It clears border-connected light pixels and preserves enclosed white regions. This is a pixel operation, not a product or material simulation. White and transparent areas also behave differently across transfer processes, printers and blanks, so follow your equipment instructions when preparing the physical job.
Mirror only when the workflow needs it
The mirror control flips the prepared artwork horizontally and the preview updates with the same geometry used by export. Some printer or transfer software applies its own mirror step. Check that setting so the image is not mirrored twice. A short test containing a recognisable asymmetric shape is useful before printing a full sheet. This panel does not manage printer drivers, ICC profiles, press temperature, time or pressure; those settings depend on your actual production setup.
Keep a source and an output version
Save the original design separately from the sized and mirrored PNG. That makes later changes easier when another blank needs different proportions. The download is a single flattened image, not a layered Photoshop file or editable vector. No physical product is included. Preview the final pixels at actual size, verify the target area with the manufacturer template and run a small production sample before committing to a batch.
Frequently asked questions
- Does writing 300 PPI make a small image print sharp?
- No. Output pixels and source detail determine the useful size. The panel shows real pixels and writes metadata separately.
- Will the tool print or press the design?
- No. It exports artwork. Printer settings, colour management and transfer instructions remain part of your production setup.
- Is mirroring automatic?
- No. Turn it on when your transfer process requires it, and check whether your print software also mirrors the job.
