Start with one useful motif
A single stem, a loose bouquet or one woodland animal is easier to place in a design than a complete painted scene. Describe the subject, the viewpoint and the amount of surrounding space. The watercolor preset adds a brushwork direction and asks for a plain light background. Select text-to-image for a new motif, or reference-image mode when you have your own composition to guide the result. Applying a brief fills the existing editor; generation starts only when you press its Generate button.
A PNG file can still be opaque
PNG describes a file format, not a promise of transparency. After downloading an AI result, upload that file into the preparation panel. The checkerboard belongs to the preview interface and is never painted into the export. Inspect the measured alpha percentage. If it is zero, the image is opaque. The light-background control clears only light pixels connected to an outer border. It preserves enclosed white details, so a white flower centre is less likely to disappear with the paper around it.
Keep the watercolor edge
Start with a low background tolerance and increase it only if pale paper remains around the subject. A high value can remove faint pigment at the outer edge. This browser control handles a light, fairly even background; it is not a semantic subject detector and cannot repair a checkerboard that an image model has already painted. For a difficult photograph or a textured coloured background, prepare a cleaner source first. The preview lets you inspect the result before you download it.
Choose pixels for the final placement
The export fits the complete motif inside the requested width and height without stretching it. Space around a smaller motif remains transparent. A 2000-pixel illustration placed at 6 inches has about 333 pixels per inch before any layout scaling. Changing a file to 300 PPI does not invent additional detail. This tool writes a real 300 PPI PNG field and shows the actual output pixels, but you should still inspect brush edges at the size where the image will be used.
Make a consistent small collection
Reuse the same palette and subject vocabulary when creating related motifs. Generate and inspect each image individually; matching prompts do not guarantee identical brushwork or colours. Save source files before placing the final PNGs into invitations, labels or journals. Each export is one raster image, not a layered source file, editable SVG or multi-image bundle. Use artwork that you created or have permission to adapt, and check the composition again after adding your own text in a separate layout.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the generator guarantee transparent AI output?
- No. Inspect the returned image. The browser panel preserves real alpha and can erase a border-connected light background. It shows the measured transparency instead of treating a PNG extension as proof.
- Can I use an existing illustration?
- Yes. Upload a PNG or JPEG up to 8 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels. Local preparation is free and does not send that file to a server. The separate AI editor uses its existing upload and generation service.
- What do I download?
- One PNG at the dimensions shown, with 300 PPI metadata. This does not convert painted pixels to vector paths or increase the source detail.
